Hooray! The seniors have ended our preliminary exam today. A big "thank you" to all juniors who prayed, supported and cheered us on in all sorts of ways (esp those who've been acting like clowns =) Your antics and lame jokes have helped us to sort of "release" exam stress (albeit the stress added for having naughty juniors)
Hopefully all of us will have fun tomorrow during the BBQ. And also, you all should also take a rest from preparing for promos (assuming that you all have started your revision =p) But do not need to worry too much, I have much faith that all of you will once again shine in the promos. Intelligence + hard work, you can ace your promos easily.
May God bless you in your "Journey to The Exams"!

Some lyrics coming..
KERANAMU MALAYSIA
Buruh, nelayan dan juga petani
Gaya hidup kini dah berubah
Anak-anak terasuh mindanya
Lahir generasi bijak pandai
Pakar IT, pakar ekonomi
Jaguh sukan dan juga jutawan
Berkereta jenama negara
Megah menyusur di jalan raya
Alam cyber teknologi terkini
Kejayaan semakin hampiri
Biar di kota ataupun desa
Kita semua pasti merasa bangga
*Keranamu kami mendakap tuah
Keranamu kami bangsa berjaya
Keranamu kami hidup selesa
Limpah budi kemakmuran negara
Keranamu kami bebas merdeka
Keranamu nyawa dipertaruhkan
Keranamu rela kami berjuang
Demi bangsa kedaulatan negara ( ulang dari mula )
Keranamu Negara Malaysia
Malaysia...
Terima kasih Malaysia !
JALUR GEMILANG
Merahmu bara semangat waja
Putihmu bersih budi pekerti
Kuning berdaulat payung negara
Biru perpaduan kami semua
Puncak dunia telah kau tawan
Lautan luas telah kau redah
Membawa semangat jiwa merdeka
Semarak jaya kami warganya
Empat belas melintang jalurnya
Semua negeri dalam Malaysia
Satu suara satu semangat
Itu sumpah warga berdaulat
*Jalur gemilang... di bawah naunganmu
Jalur gemilang... kami semua bersatu
Perpaduan ketaatan
Amalan murni rakyat Malaysia
Jalur gemilang... megah kami terasa
Jalur gemilang... kibarkanlah wawasan
Merah putih biru kuning
Jalur semangat kami semua
Berkibarlah
Berkibarlah
Berkibarlah
Jalur gemilang
TANGGAL 31
Tanggal 31
Bulan lapan lima puluh tujuh
Merdeka ! Merdeka !
Tetaplah merdeka
Ia pasti menjadi sejarah
Tanggal 31
Bulan lapan lima puluh tujuh
Hari yang mulia
Hari bahagia
Sambut dengan jiwa yang merdeka
*Mari kita seluruh warga negara
Ramai-ramai menyambut hari merdeka
Merdeka !
Tiga satu bulan lapan lima puluh tujuh
Hari mulia negaraku merdeka
WAWASAN 2020
Bendera berkibar di angkasa
Lambang negara jaya
Rakyat sepakat sehati sejiwa
Dengan berbakti dengan megah
Hadapi cabaran masa muka
Penuh tenaga murni
Bakti dicurah sehara-sehala
Dengan wawasan yang suci
Wawasan meningkat kemajuan
Tiada lagi kepincangan
Kemewahan rasa-dirasai
Bersama kita nikmati
Wawasan 2020
Satu pandangan jauh
Bukan impian malah kenyataan
Bersama kita jayakan
SEJAHTERA MALAYSIA
Puji dan syukur pada Ilahi
Anugerahnya tiada terhingga
Kedamaian kemakmuran
Malaysiaku bahagia
Dengan tekad untuk berjaya
Berbakti pada nusa dan bangsa
Kami junjung cita-cita luhur
Perpaduan seluruh negeri
*Seia sekata sehati sejiwa
Menghadapi cabaran
Kami sedia kami setia
Berkorban untuk negara
Bersemarak Malaysia tercinta
Kibarkan panji kebesarannya
Kami rela menjaga namamu
Sejahtera Malaysia
SETIA
[Wei Kit, this is for you..I couldnt find the lyrics, so I listened and typed it out..Hopefully its correct]
Demi negara yang tercinta
Dicurahkan bakti penuh setia
Demi Raja yang disanjung tinggi
Kesetiaan tak berbelah bagi
Kepada pemimpin kepada rakyat
Khidmat diberi penuh taat
Sama bekerja sama berusaha
Setia berkhidmat untuk semua
Rela berkorban apa saja
Amanah bangsa tetap dijaga
Kami berikrar penuh setia
Untuk agama bangsa dan negara
Hmm...So here are some lyrics, just in case you have forgotten. If you want to listen to the songs before the celebration, you are most welcomed to borrow the CD from me. Malaysia Boleh!!

The correct version of Rukun Negara
I think the correct version of Rukun Negara should be the following:
RUKUN NEGARA
BAHAWASANYA negara kita Malaysia mendukung cita-cita untuk
mencapai perpaduan yang lebih erat di kalangan seluruh masyarakatnya;
memelihara satu cara hidup demokratik;
mencipta masyarakat yang adil bagi kemakmuran negara yang akan dapat dinikmati bersama secara adil dan saksama;
menjamin satu cara yang liberal terhadap tradisi kebudayaannya yang kaya dan berbagai-bagai corak;
membina satu masyarakat progresif yang akan menggunakan sains dan teknologi moden;
KELUHURAN PERLEMBAGAAN
KEDAULATAN UNDANG-UNDANG
KESOPANAN DAN KESUSILAAN

IRAS trip
Five students proudly represented their classes (and their country!) for a National Education Learning Journey to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). These students were Janene, Sangiita, Voon Ken, Victor and Wei Kit.
With their class spirits and school glory at stake, the enthusiastic participants happily stoned at the highly interesting powerpoint presentation cum quiz that the IRAS staff had planned for us. We have gained much valuable insight to the processes and importance of the Singapore taxation system, and not to mention some stationery won by participants of other classes who managed to answer the quiz questions correctly.
Next was a simple but scrumptious refreshments courtesy of IRAS. As expected, certain members of the entourage gratefully indulged in the assortment of cakes and sandwiches prepared. I am also proud to announce that one of our hostel representatives had succeeded in wiping the plates of food clean.
A quick tour of the IRAS building ensued, where our students stared in awe at the document lift used to transport letters and documents to other floors. We were also equally amazed by the self-extracting letter machine, which by the name suggests, strips open (!) the envelopes and extract their contents, saving many precious minutes of the officers who would then sort the documents manually. Of course, our scholars never failed to amuse themselves with ridiculous actions and thoughts, which included taking pictures of our reflections in the lift doors, and asking if we could join what sounded like a food fest for employees of IRAS on the 8th of August.
The tour of IRAS ended with more phototaking sessions initiated by our very own schoolmate. After much posing and camwhoring, the 5 of us departed from IRAS with a sense of fulfillment in gaining new knowledge and good food.
Your very own reporter wannabe,
Toh Wei Kit
